We have curated the perfect Mexico getaway with all of the highlights of a traditional activity.

Day 1
Welcome to Oaxaca
Upon arrival at the Oaxaca Airport, you will be transferred by private transportation to your hotel. Get settled and relax before the adventurous second day.
Day 2
Day of Building Traditional Altar for the Dead
A day full of preparations and connections with ancestral culture. At 10 in the morning we will meet to enter the vibrant atmosphere of the local markets, where we will buy the necessary supplies to build our own altar for the dead. With creative hands and open hearts, we will assemble an altar full of colors, aromas, and memories. Don’t forget to bring the photo of your loved one who went ahead on this trip to place on the altar. Once our altar is finished, we will delight in a traditional meal, savoring the exquisite dishes that honor our loved ones.
Day 3
Cemeteries tour
This day, you will have the entire morning free to explore the city center and surrounding areas on your own.
Meet at 7 pm and immerse yourselves in an exciting experience by visiting the region’s most emblematic pantheons. Tour the General Pantheon, the Xoxocotlán Pantheon, and the Atzompa Pantheon, where we will witness the moving “evening” in honor of the deceased. You will feel the essence of traditions as we watch how families decorate the graves with flowers, candles, and offerings, creating a space of remembrance and celebration.
This activity will finish around 1 am the next day.
Day 4
Experience “Paint your Nahual”
This experience immerses participants in the Zapotec culture, where every individual is believed to have an animal spirit, or “tonalli” (tona), that acts as their protector and guide throughout life. Upon death, the tona transforms into a “Nahual,” which continues to guide the person beyond the earthly plane. The three-day journey in Oaxaca includes an introspective activity where participants connect with their protective animal, creatively expressed by painting a figure that represents their inner being. This cultural experience, centered around the Day of the Dead, blends tradition, spirituality, and creativity, offering a profound connection to ancestral wisdom and Oaxacan culture.
Day 5
CHECK OUT AND GOODBYES
Snap some last pictures of your beautiful vacation in Oaxaca. Say your goodbyes, check, and await your private transfer back to the airport to take you back home.

Important things to note
- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- The best time to visit Mexico city is between November to April.
- A valid U.S. passport is required to travel to Mexico.
- Note that August and September are hurricane season in Mexico therefore travel for these months is not recommended.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
