Please note this is a sample itinerary and your actual itinerary would be adjusted based on your selected activities, dates of travel and of course your travel style!
Day 1
Welcome to Marrakesh!
Arriving at Marrakech Airport. A private transportation will transfer to your hotel. Hotel check in. Have the afternoon at leisure to to relax while exploring the main square Jemaa el Fnaa and the souks. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2
Explore Marrakech – History & Gardens
Pick up at 5:00 a.m. and drive outside of Marrakech to the camp, where you will be greeted with tea and refreshments. You will then receive a safety briefing from your pilot and observe balloon preparation and inflation. After a safe landing, you will be picked up and taken back to the camp, where you will be served breakfast and, of course, you will receive your certificate before returning to the Riad. We start tour day by Majorelle Garden and the modern town of Marrakech Guiliz. Visit the YSL Museum. After that, you will go on a walking Guided Tour of Marrakech Medina to learn more about this imperial city and its history. We begin outside the Koutoubia Mosque, a representative building of Almohade art. You’ll see the famous Bahia Palace, which was built for Bou Ahmed and features fantastic courtyards and mosaic walls. Take a stroll through the Jewish Quarter and notice the architectural differences. You’ll be walking through some alleyways to get to Medrassa Ben Youssef (a former Islamic university). Day 3
Cooking class and birthday dinner
After breakfast at the hotel, we will escape from the bustling city into a Garden located about 29 km from the city of Marrakech, to learn how to prepare and cook a Moroccan meal while enjoying the non-touristy countryside relaxation. On a half-day, change jobs and become true leaders cooks! Finally, it is around the table that each participant can enjoy and relish his masterpiece during lunch. We then drive back to Marrakech to visit the bustling souks in the Medina. Haggling for good prices in the souk is one of the most memorable things to do in Marrakech. Return to your hotel and prepare for birthday dinner. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 4
Marrakesh – High Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora
Breakfast will be served . This memorable desert trip starts with the scenic drive from Marrakech over the Tizi-N-Tichk, pass (2’260 m), where you can spot the traditional Berber villages with their inhabitants working and chatting at the roadside. Shortly before the desert capital Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Kasbah Aït-Ben-Haddou, the fortified clay city with its numerous ksars and kasbahs, where several famous movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Prince of Persia have been shot. After crossing the Anti-Atlas, you arrive at the green and peaceful Draa Valley which is famous for its huge date groves and henna fields. Now it is time for the desert! Zagora is the last city before the real wilderness starts. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your camel driver and head to the desert on top of your friendly camel while the sun sinks below the horizon. Just before dark, you will arrive at the Sahara Desert Camp where you can settle in your private tent. A traditional dinner is served and you can spend the night watching for shooting stars or dance around the campfire to the beat of the desert drums.
Day 5
Zagora _ Draa Valley _ Ouarzazate _ Marrakech
Today, you can get up early to enjoy the first rays of sunlight over the desert. Enjoy your breakfast in the camp and hop on your camel for the ride back to Zagora. On our way back through the Draa Valley in the direction of Marrakech, we’ll stop in Ouarzazate for lunch. The city of Ouarzazate with its film-making studios hosts a lot of international film productions and is also known as «The Hollywood of Morocco». Afterward, you will be heading back to Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains.
Day 6
Marrakesh Yoga _ Moroccan Hammam
After breakfast, You will have a morning yoga session. After a light lunch, you will have a relaxing Moroccan traditional Hammam which is one of the most relaxing -and cultural- experiences you can have in Marrakech. After a great hammam session, we will have a closing group dinner in a nice Restaurant.

Day 7
Check out and Goodbyes
Check out after breakfast and transfer to the airport for final departure.

- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- The best times to visit Marrakesh is from March to May and between September and November. These shoulder seasons are known for their desirable weather with average daytime temps in the low 70s to low 90s. Avoid visiting in the brutally hot summer when highs regularly top 100 degrees and the city sees a large influx of tourists. This months are June – August.
- Many nationalities including guests from the US, UK, and Canada can enjoy visa-free access to Morocco for up to 90 days.
- Covid Vaccine: Yes, all international travelers aged 12 and over must provide proof of vaccination to enter Morocco. Accepted vaccines are AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Sputnik, Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen, Covishield, Moderna, Sinovac.
- Rates are valid until November. Please note that prices fluctuate for Christmas & New Year. For travel dates during the festive period in December kindly reach out to elizabeth@luxetribes.com for updated rates.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
