Day 1
Welcome to Tokyo!
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted via private transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city. After a seamless check-in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Ease into the rhythm of Japan—take a stroll beneath the glowing city lights, explore the surrounding streets, or indulge in your first authentic bowl of ramen at a nearby local spot.
Day 2
Tokyo Anime Tour
Discover Tokyo with your private guide, focusing on anime and Japanese popular culture. Whether you’re an anime and gaming fan, or you just want to learn more about this exciting part of Japan, this is the tour for you. Get explanations about Japanese culture that you wouldn’t get if exploring the area alone, and experience all the “must do” activities in Akihabara and more, such as visiting a retro video game store, a maid cafe, and much more. The itinerary is completely customizable based on your interests and requests.
Day 3
Tsukiju Market & Food Tasting
Take a deep dive into the world of Japanese seafood during this tour of the outer Tsukiji Fish Market. See where Michelin-starred chefs shop for ingredients at this iconic market for all things aquatic. Investigate stalls selling fish, shellfish, and everything in between, and feast on top-quality food including high-grade Wagyu beef skewers, fish cakes, sushi or seafood bowl, and seasonal fruit. Plus, enjoy other samples along the way.
Day 4
Kyoto by Lantern Light
After check-out, your private driver will transfer you to Tokyo Station, where you will board the world-renowned Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto, one of Japan’s most historic and culturally rich cities. Upon arrival, another private driver will be waiting to escort you to your centrally located hotel.
In the evening, enjoy a guided night walk through the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of illuminated torii gates create a magical pathway through the hillside. Experience one of Japan’s most famous landmarks in a more serene and atmospheric setting, with the beauty and mystery of the shrine enhanced after dark.
Day 5
Traditional Kyoto Experience
Begin your day by stepping into the elegance of Japan’s cultural heritage with a traditional kimono rental and photoshoot in Kyoto. Dressed in a beautifully crafted kimono, you’ll explore the city’s charming surroundings while capturing memorable photos in this timeless attire.
In the afternoon, continue your cultural journey with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony at a historic tea house. Experience the art, rituals, and tranquility behind this centuries-old practice while gaining a deeper appreciation for Japanese traditions.
Day 6
Discover Kyoto
Start your day with a guided exploration of some of Kyoto’s most iconic sights. Wander through the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where towering bamboo paths create a peaceful and unforgettable atmosphere, then continue to the stunning Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), one of Kyoto’s most celebrated landmarks.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to experience Kyoto at your own pace. Explore charming neighborhoods, browse local shops, discover hidden cafés, continue sightseeing independently, or simply relax and enjoy the city’s unique atmosphere.
Day 7
Sayonara Japan!
After check-out, a private transfer will take you to the airport for your departure back home.

You can travel whenever you choose! Just find the flight and the time of the year that works for you and we will make it happen. You can change your dates up until your accommodations have been confirmed as booked. After this, any changes may incur a fee.
Arrival airport is Tokyo Haneda (HND) and departure airport is Osaka (KIX or ITM).
We do not provide airfare as part of our package. This allows our travelers the flexibility to choose their preferred airline, schedule, and seating preferences. Our Travel Planners can however advise the airport/s and recommended times you’d need to fly into/out of to reach the destination.
Prices are based on double occupancy - This means you will be traveling with a friend or family. If you are traveling solo or if you would like to book a single room please reach out to barbara@luxetribes.com

Important things to note
- To ensure we can create the best possible itinerary and secure your preferred accommodations and experiences, Japan trips require a minimum booking lead time of 2 months prior to your intended travel date.
- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- Currently, the US passport holders do not need a visa.
- A Valid Passport is required to travel to Japan.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
