Day 1
Welcome to Tokyo!
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted via private transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city. After a seamless check-in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Ease into the rhythm of Japan—take a stroll beneath the glowing city lights, explore the surrounding streets, or indulge in your first authentic bowl of ramen at a nearby local spot.
Day 2
A Taste of Tradition in Kyoto
This morning, you’ll check out and head to Tokyo Station for a ride on the world’s fastest bullet train — the iconic Shinkansen — gliding past Mount Fuji en route to Kyoto. After checking in at your Kyoto hotel, you’ll step into a stunning kimono and experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony at a centuries-old tea house. It’s a peaceful, photo-worthy moment that beautifully honors Japanese heritage.
Day 3
Arts, Sweets and Scents
Today is all about creativity and calm. Start your morning with a hands-on lesson in crafting wagashi, Japan’s intricate seasonal sweets, in a charming, serene setting. In the afternoon, explore the refined world of Japanese incense through a meditative experience that engages all your senses. This day blends beauty, craftsmanship, and bonding in the most elegant way.
Day 4
Kyoto by Lantern Light
Spend the day discovering Kyoto at your own pace.
In the evening, embark on a guided night walk through the famous Fushimi Inari shrine, where thousands of glowing torii gates create a magical, unforgettable path through the hillside. It’s one of Japan’s most iconic sights — made even more mystical after dark.
Day 5
Dive into Digital Art in Tokyo
After check-out, you’ll return to Tokyo on the bullet train and enjoy a private transfer back to your hotel. In the afternoon, prepare to be amazed at the world-famous teamLab digital art installation — a surreal, dreamlike space where light, sound, and movement interact around you. It’s immersive, futuristic, and totally Instagram-worthy.
Day 6
Harajuku Style Tour & Shopping

Free Day and Optional Helicopter Ride
Enjoy a full day to explore Tokyo your way — whether that’s hitting up more shopping spots, enjoying some delicious food, or relaxing at a stylish café. Want to go out with a bang? Opt in for a private helicopter ride over the Tokyo skyline at sunset. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime view and the ultimate finale to your trip (additional costs apply).
Day 8
Sayonara Japan!
After check-out, a private transfer will take you to the airport for your departure back home.

You can travel whenever you choose! Just find the flight and the time of the year that works for you and we will make it happen. You can change your dates up until your accommodations have been confirmed as booked. After this, any changes may incur a fee.
You will arrive at Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND).
We do not provide airfare as part of our package. This allows our travelers the flexibility to choose their preferred airline, schedule, and seating preferences. Our Travel Planners can however advise the airport/s and recommended times you’d need to fly into/out of to reach the destination.
Prices are based on double occupancy - This means you will be traveling with a friend or family. If you are traveling solo or if you would like to book a single room please reach out to barbara@luxetribes.com

- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- Currently, the US passport holders do not need a visa.
- A Valid Passport is required to travel to Japan.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
