Day 1
Welcome to Seoul, South Korea

Arrive at Incheon International Airport (ICN), where your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury hotel in central Seoul.

Settle down before your adventurous second day!

Day 2
Seoul Old & New City Tour

Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up to discover Seoul. The program today: -Gyeongbokgung Palace -Bukchon Hanok Village (a small village with traditional Korean architecture) – Insadong (art valley of Seoul) – Jogyesa Temple – N Seoul Tower. Korean lunch is included. Come back to your hotel in the late afternoon and relax.

Pose in traditional Korean dress, called ‘hanbok,’ and be photographed at your choice of locations such as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Bukchon Hanok Village. After the photoshopping, the driver will drop you off at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3
Korean Cooking Class

Immerse yourself in Korean culture and enjoy an authentic home-cooking experience with a local chef at her home. Enjoy a guided visit to the local market to purchase fresh ingredients, sample tasty street food snacks, and learn about typical herbs and spices. Then, get hands-on as you create a selection of popular Korean dishes and master traditional cooking techniques. Finally sit down to enjoy a ‘Hanjeongsik’ dinner including your homemade dishes, along with additional side dishes and dessert.

  • Create four Korean dishes such as ‘Bibimbap’ rice or ‘ Dakgalbi’

Day 5
Fly to Taipei, Taiwan

After breakfast, transfer to Incheon International Airport (ICN) for your flight to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). Upon arrival, enjoy a seamless transfer to your luxury hotel in Taipei.

That evening, dive into Taiwan’s street food culture

Taipei is renowned for its delicious variety of street food and regional specialties. On this private walking tour, explore the atmospheric Zhongzheng District, visit Dongmen Market, and sample a wide selection of Taiwanese dishes, with your guide on hand to explain the ingredients and translate any food preferences.

Day 6
Taipei City Tour

Immerse yourself in scenic Northern Taiwan on this private half-day tour from Taipei. You’ll get to see the Golden Waterfall and Jinguashi 13 Ruins, make a wish with a sky lantern over Pingxi, and explore the streets of historical Jiufen. This charming and historic street is the inspiration of Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away,” as well as the setting for several beloved Taiwanese films. Finally, head to Shifen Old Street, known for delicious local foods, souvenir shops, and puffing railroad trains.

Day 7
Full-Day Private Northern Taiwan Tour from Taipei

Discover the beauty and culture of Taipei’s northeast coast on this private tour to its most iconic landmarks. Create a Chinese lantern (天燈) in historic Shifen, and write a wish up on it before releasing it. Sample local foods in Shifen as you stroll down an old cobblestone street. Finally, visit Yehliu Geopark, featuring an alien landscape of unique rock formations. This is an active tour, wear comfortable shoes for walking. In the case of bad traffic or weather, the itinerary may change.

Check Out and Goodbyes

With hearts full and luggage packed, it’s time to say your goodbyes to this vibrant corner of Asia. A private transfer will be arranged to take you comfortably back to the airport, where your journey home begins.

Important Things to Note for South Korea & Taiwan
Visa Requirements:
  • South Korea: Many nationalities can enter visa-free for short stays, but must complete the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) online before arrival.
  • Taiwan: Several nationalities are eligible for visa-free entry for stays up to 90 days. Others may need to apply for a visa in advance.
Currency:
  • South Korea: The currency is the South Korean Won (KRW). Credit cards are widely accepted, but cash is useful for markets and small vendors.
  • Taiwan: The currency is the New Taiwan Dollar (TWD). Credit cards are accepted in cities, but carry cash for night markets and smaller shops.
Cultural Etiquette:
  • South Korea: Show respect to elders, bow when greeting, and remove shoes when entering homes. Avoid speaking loudly in public places.
  • Taiwan: Be polite and respectful, especially in temples. Avoid pointing your feet at people or religious objects. Tipping is not customary but appreciated in some tourist services.
Health Precautions:
  • Vaccinations are not required but advised for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and typhoid. Both countries have high standards of hygiene. Tap water is safe to drink in Taiwan, and generally safe in South Korea, though bottled water is widely available.
Language:
  • South Korea: The official language is Korean. English is spoken in tourist areas, but not widely among the general public.
  • Taiwan: The official language is Mandarin Chinese. English is spoken in major tourist areas, but signage may be limited outside cities.
Weather Considerations:
  • South Korea: Has four distinct seasons. Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to visit. Summers (July–August) can be hot, humid, and rainy.
  • Taiwan: Also has a subtropical climate. The rainy season runs from May to September, with typhoons possible between July and October.
Electricity:
  • South Korea: Uses Type C and F plugs with a standard voltage of 220V.
  • Taiwan: Uses Type A and B plugs with a standard voltage of 110V. A power adapter and voltage converter may be needed depending on your device.
Travel Insurance: It’s recommended to have travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost luggage for peace of mind.

If something goes wrong

Cancellation policy

  • All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
  • If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
  • Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
