Arrive at Beijing Capital Airport, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and settle in after your flight.
Discover the heart of Beijing with a guided visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, once home to emperors for 600 years. Explore the serene Summer Palace gardens before ending the day with a welcome dinner featuring the city’s famous Peking Roast Duck.
Begin the day at the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests. After lunch, travel to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall to climb this world wonder. On the return to the city, stop for photos at the Olympic Village’s Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.
Board a high-speed train to Xi’an. Upon arrival, visit the Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved fortifications in China, and enjoy the views of the city’s blend of old and new.
Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist site and UNESCO treasure. Continue to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” where thousands of life-size soldiers stand guard over China’s first emperor. End the day wandering Xi’an’s Muslim Quarter, famous for its vibrant street food and cultural atmosphere.
Fly from Xi’an to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. The evening is free to explore the city at your own pace.
Explore the Jade Buddha Temple and the traditional Yu Garden. Admire panoramic city views from the Shanghai Tower before walking along the Bund, a historic waterfront lined with colonial architecture. End the day on lively Nanjing Road, one of the world’s busiest shopping streets.
Check out and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
