Day 1
Welcome to Kenya
You will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and private transportation will take you to your luxury hotel in Nairobi where you can rest and relax.
Pick up from your hotel at 1800hrs for dinner at the Nyama Choma Ranch Restaurant where you will be served all-you-can-eat game meat and watch the Safari Cats show.
Overnight at a 4* hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2
Nairobi City Tour
Breakfast will be served at your 4* hotel.
First stop on your City Tour will be. a visit to the Giraffe Centre. You will get extremely up close and personal to the world’s tallest species! Upon the feeding platform, the giraffes will love to interact with you, reaching out with their long, inquisitive tongues in hope of a treat.
After, visit David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) Elephant Nursery in Nairobi National Park provides a safe haven to orphaned baby elephants rescued by the DSWT.
Lunch at Hemingways Nairobi.
After lunch you will visit Bomas of Kenya where you will experience the rich diversity of Kenyan traditional music and dance in our daily cultural performances which consist of over 50 dances from different ethnic communities.
Evening at leisure in Nairobi.
Day 3
Welcome to Diani Beach
After breakfast at your luxury hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked up and head to Wilson Airport for a domestic flight to Diani (approximately 1-hour flight).
With a flawless, long stretch of white-sand beach hugged by lush forest and kissed by surfable waves, Diani beach is one of the most popular destinations in Kenya. You will be picked up from Diani Airport and transferred to your luxury accommodation in Diani which is about a 20min drive.
You can have a relaxing afternoon at your own leisure exploring the hotel’s swimming pools & the spa as you prepare for the next days of adventure.
Day 4
Diani
After breakfast at your luxury hotel in Nairobi, you will be picked up for a boat tour to Sudi Island. This tour will enable you watch the dolphins and snorkel in the Indian ocean. Sea food lunch will be provided.
Transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Overnight at your luxury hotel.
Day 5
Diani to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will check out and proceed to Diani airstrip to board your flight to Masai Mara via Nairobi.
Dream of Africa and chances are that you dream of the Masai Mara. You will check in to your luxury resort and lunch will be served.
You can have a relaxing afternoon as you prepare for the next few days searching for the big five and enjoying the Masai Culture.
Start your adventure with an evening game drive with a sundowner in the Mara with the stunning African sunset.
Dinner & overnight at your luxury camp.
Day 6
Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Today get to start your day with a bush breakfast or hippo breakfast where you can watch the sunrise and after proceed for a full day game drive in search of the Big Five as you anticipate to watch the crossing of the wildebeest. A picnic lunch will be provided.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Masai Cultural Village to be immersed in the culture of the Maasai people.
You will then head back to the luxury resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7
Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Pick up at 0600hrs for an early morning game drive at Masai Mara. Enjoy the Masai Mara’s Hot Air Balloon with the sunrise as you watch the animals from above (Own cost).
Breakfast will be served. Have a free morning before checking out from your luxury camp.
You will be transferred to the Mara Airstrip to board the flight back to Nairobi.
Evening at leisure. Overnight in Nairobi.
Day 8
Check Out and Goodbyes
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, with some free time to enjoy your last day. If you have time, Spend your afternoon in Masai Market, an open-air market where travelers can find curios, paintings, drawings, clothes and fabrics with East African prints, jewellery and wood-carvings, many hand-made in Kenya by local artisans
Private transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and board your flight back home.

Important things to note
- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- You must have a passport to travel to Kenya – Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months after your arrival date and have a least one blank page
- This itinerary features some long travel days, which can be exacerbated by bumpy African roads. It is recommended that you pay close attention to the given approximations of driving hours.
- As the early bird catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.
- Yellow fever: A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever (eg. Kenya). You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It’s also quite common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate on your arrival back home. It is your responsibility to check with your doctor well in advance of leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you’ll be visiting.
- It is best to avoid dark coloured clothes such as blue and black while on safari. These colours can attract the biting tsetse fly.
- You do not need any real fitness for this safari. However please note that, in some areas, the roads are in quite poor condition and you may experience a fair amount of bouncing around which can be strenuous.
- Bush meals and Sundowners require a minimum of 6people.
- The rates are not valid during Easter and Festive Seasons. For travel dates during this period kindly reach out to elizabeth@luxetribes.com for updated rates.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
