Day 1
Welcome to Brazil!
You will arrive at Salvador Intl. Airport and a private transportation will take you to your hotel in Salvador, where you can rest and relax. In the evening, you will experience the charming Bahian nightlife. Your tour guide will pick you up and take you to Pelourinho for dinner at a wonderful restaurant and then you will take a short stroll through the old quarter.
Day 2
AFRICAN-ORIENTED CITY TOUR
Start at Farol da Barra, where Salvador was founded in 1549, then drive along Sete de Setembro Avenue and Corredor da Vitória, passing colonial houses. Explore Campo Grande, Piedade, and Castro Alves Square before walking through the old city. Visit the Pierre Verger Foundation, the African Museum, São Francisco Church, and the slave-built Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Homens Pretos Church. Enjoy local Bahian cuisine and a Samba-Reggae percussion lesson.
Day 3
Culinary tour
Begin your culinary adventure at São Joaquim Market, where you’ll handpick fresh, natural ingredients. Then, under the guidance of expert local chefs, dive into the preparation of traditional Afro-Brazilian dishes, while exploring Bahian culinary history. Finally, indulge in the flavorful specialties you’ve crafted, complemented by natural juices and Bahian desserts.
Day 4
Candomblé: Religious, Social Focus and Community Visits
Candomblé is an Afro-Brazilian religion that blends African spiritual traditions with Catholicism, worshiping deities known as Orixás. We visit a traditional Candomblé temple, where this Afro-Brazilian religion preserves African values amidst the city’s growth. Then, we explore CURUZU – LIBERDADE, Salvador’s largest Afro-descendant community, with a neighborhood walk and a quick stop at a local bar. Next, we admire the Orixá sculptures at Dique do Tororó, and end our tour at Rio Vermelho, home to Yemanjá’s house, where a major celebration occurs every February 2nd.
Day 5
Lower City Tour
After having our delicious meal, we continue the tour, visiting the DIQUE DO TORORÒ, where beautiful sculptures of the ORIXAS (African saints) can be seen; The Lower City tour includes the calm waters of the Itapagipe Peninsula where life moves at a slower pace. Fishermen fish from dug out canoes, locals collect shellfish at low tide and schooners lie at anchor. We continue on to the famous Church of Bomfim – where the African religion Candomblé and its connections to Catholicism are explained by the tour guide .
Day 6
TAMAR PROJECT & GUARAJUBA BEACH
Get ready for an unforgettable day! We’ll start our adventure on the scenic Coconut Road, heading north along Bahia’s coast. Our first stop is the charming Praia do Forte at 10:30, where you can explore the Fishing Village and, if you wish, visit the TAMAR Project to see giant sea turtles. Next, we’ll whisk you away to the paradise of Guarajuba Beach. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pools and savor a delicious meal at a beachfront restaurant. It’s a day of sun, sea, and unforgettable moments!
Day 7
Good bye, Salvador!
After breakfast and check out, a private transfer will take you to the airport. Time to say good bye!

- The best time to visit Rio is between December and March, when the weather is warm and sunny enough to hit the beaches. The city’s seductive samba beat and incredible panoramic views last year-round, but arrive in February to experience Carnival.
- A valid U.S. passport is required to travel to Brazil.
- U.S. citizens do not need a visa if they are traveling to Brazil for tourism, business, transit, artistic or sport activities, with no intention of establishing residence. – If the adult traveler is a U.S. citizen and fully vaccinated, then the traveler must provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status and proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three calendar days of traveling or documentation of recovery in the past 90 days.

- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
