Please note this is a sample itinerary and your actual itinerary would be adjusted based on your selected activities, dates of travel and of course your travel style!
Day 1
WELCOME TO COSTA RICA!
You will arrive at SJO or LIR Airport and private transportation will take you to your accommodation in Tamarindo. Drive to hotel is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
Get relaxed and start to enjoy “Costa Rica: Pura vida!”
Day 2
RINCON DE LA VIEJA VOLCANO: DELUXE COMBO TOUR WITH LUNCH
On this full-day trip, benefit from your guide’s personalized attention and enjoy an exciting horseback ride through the mountains and pastures with beautiful views of the Pacific coast of Guanacaste and the beautiful Rincon de la Vieja volcano.
Then we will take a thrilling ride down a 420-meter long jungle waterslide and fly over the treetops, and cross the canyons. After a delicious lunch to recover our energies, experience a cultural tour and finish the day in our world-famous and relaxing hot springs center.
Day 3
TENORIO VOLCANO: RAINFOREST SLOTH DISCOVERY & WATERFALL WITH LUNCH
After a convenient hotel pickup, enjoy a guided visit to the Tenorio Volcano National Park on a rainforest trek to the seventh natural wonder of Costa Rica, The Rio Celeste Waterfall. After this beautiful site, admire one of the 5 largest trees in Costa Rica and cool off with a swim in the Blue River.
Your tour will continue to a Costa Rican Traditional restaurant where you will have a la carte lunch and then it’s Sloths time! You will hike through a private reserve where sloths and other animals are practically impossible to miss in their natural environment.
Day 4
ATV & JET SKI RENTAL TO CONCHAL BEACH
Enjoy 3 hours of ATV Tour and a 30-minute Jet Ski Rental which lets you visit Conchal Beach, one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular beaches. We’ll start with the 2.5 exciting hours on the back roads of Guanacaste’s rugged terrain through rivers, mountains, local villages, and puddles (in the rainy season) to visit 3 Secluded Beaches until you get to Playa Puerto Viejo where you will hop on your jet ski so you can also explore the sea.
Day 5
PRIVATE TRANSFER TO LIBERIA
Snap some last pictures of your beautiful vacation in Costa Rica. This ride takes around 1.5 – 2 hours.
Say your goodbyes & await your private transfer back to the airport to take you home.

Important things to note
- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- The best time to visit Tamarindo weather-wise would be mid-November through August. For those interested in surfing, June through October provide great waves.
- US nationals do not require an entry visa to Costa Rica. However, they must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 90 days.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
