Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica!
Upon arrival at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), you will be warmly welcomed and privately transferred to your accommodation in Tamarindo. Depending on your arrival airport, the journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive as you begin your Costa Rican adventure. Once you arrive, settle into your accommodation and embrace the country’s famous motto: “Pura Vida!”
Day 2
Tenorio Volcano: Rainforest Sloth discovery & Waterfall Experience
Please note this adventure takes up to 8 hours approximately.
Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the breathtaking Tenorio Volcano National Park. After a convenient hotel pickup, enjoy a guided rainforest hike to one of Costa Rica’s most spectacular natural wonders—the stunning Río Celeste Waterfall, renowned for its vibrant turquoise waters.
Continue your journey with a visit to one of the five largest trees in Costa Rica, before cooling off with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Blue River.
Next, savor a delicious à la carte lunch at a traditional Costa Rican restaurant, where you’ll experience authentic local flavors. In the afternoon, head to a private nature reserve for an unforgettable wildlife encounter. Accompanied by your guide, explore the lush rainforest in search of Costa Rica’s famous sloths, along with a variety of native birds, monkeys, frogs, and other fascinating wildlife in their natural habitat.
Day 3
ATV Adventure
Experience an exhilarating three-hour ATV adventure through the rugged landscapes of Guanacaste. Journey along scenic back roads, crossing rivers, climbing mountain trails, passing through charming local villages, and splashing through muddy puddles during the rainy season. Along the way, you’ll visit two secluded beaches, where you can take in the breathtaking coastal scenery and experience the natural beauty of Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline.
Day 4
Rincon De La Vieja Volcano: Deluxe Combo Tour

Embark on an action-packed full-day adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Guanacaste. Begin with a scenic horseback ride through rolling mountains and lush pastures, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline and the majestic Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.
Next, experience the thrill of racing down a 420-meter jungle waterslide, followed by an exhilarating ziplining adventure as you soar above the rainforest canopy and cross dramatic canyons.
After working up an appetite, enjoy a delicious traditional lunch before immersing yourself in Costa Rican culture with an authentic cultural experience. End your unforgettable day by unwinding in the region’s renowned natural hot springs, where you can relax and rejuvenate amid the beauty of the surrounding tropical landscape.
Day 5
Goodbye Costa Rica!
Take a few final moments to capture the beauty of your unforgettable Costa Rican getaway before departing for home. At the appropriate time, enjoy a private transfer to either Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) or Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), depending on your departure flight. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

You can travel whenever you choose! Just find the flight and the time of the year that works for you and we will make it happen. You can change your dates up until your accommodations have been confirmed as booked. After this, any changes may incur a fee.
Your international flight should arrive in Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR).
We do not provide airfare as part of our package. This allows our travelers the flexibility to choose their preferred airline, schedule, and seating preferences. Our Travel Planners can however advise the airport/s and recommended times you’d need to fly into/out of to reach the destination.
Prices are based on double occupancy - This means you will be traveling with a friend or family. If you are traveling solo there is an additional one time fee of $1000.

- We will provide you with a list of accommodation options based on your budget and any preferences you provide to us once your trip is confirmed – this gives you the opportunity to select the hotel that best suits your taste.
- The best time to visit Tamarindo weather-wise would be mid-November through August. For those interested in surfing, June through October provide great waves.
- US nationals do not require an entry visa to Costa Rica. However, they must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 90 days.
- Costa Rica is a high-activity destination offering thrilling outdoor adventures like hiking, zip-lining, and more. Many activities are physically intense, so visitors should be prepared to stay active and embrace the challenges. If you’re ready for an adrenaline-packed experience, Costa Rica is the perfect place to be!
- Your flight will land at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR). Please note that the drive from the airport to Tamarindo takes approximately 1.5 – 3 hours depending on the road conditions.
If something goes wrong
Cancellation policy
- All deposits are non-refundable, however, you can transfer your deposit to a future trip of your choice.
- If you’re over 60 days away from departure, switching to another trip is easy! Simply send an email to your trip coordinator and move your payment balance over to another trip of your choice. Please note if your accommodations have already been booked the property may apply penalties – our team will always try to book flexible options ,however, if the property has a strict cancellation policy the credit applied to your account will be less any applicable cancellation fees by the property.
- Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.
